Culinary Geopark Ries

The Culinary Geopark Ries was established to preserve the local Ries cuisine and to resist the creeping loss of regional foods through standardization. The homegrown Ries cuisine, the regional identity, is once again present above all in the cooking pots and menus of local restaurants. Guests should be able to discern the distinctive, local flavors of where they eat and drink.  The regional cuisine is once again recognizable through the use of locally grown products, and its unmistakable identity is restored.
