Special Geological Features

Geological exposures, outcrops and quarries represent the majority of the special geological features of the UNESCO Global Geopark Ries. There are 149 of these educationally valuable natural creations in the UNESCO Global Geopark Ries, including five geotopes that are included in the “100 schönsten in Bavaria.” The interactive map includes an overview of all geotopes. More precise descriptions of the particular geological features as well as their exact locations are displayed by clicking on the appropriate symbol.
